Our Succesful Campaign
A Citizens Campaign for Armenia at COP29
When Azerbaijan hosted COP29, it tried to greenwash its image as a climate leader, while holding Armenian hostages. Our campaign brought global attention to this contradiction, connecting climate justice with human rights accountability.
Our Goals
1. To release the Armenian hostages imprisoned in Baku,
2. To protect the Nagorno-Karabakh people’s rights, and
3. To protect Armenia, threatened by Azerbaijan.
Those are the exclusive goals of our campaign; we respect those active in Armenia’s national conflicts, but to make a meaningful contribution, we will not be involved in Armenia´s internal problems.

How We Did it
Armenians from 120 countries participated in the campaign
6500 Armenians participated, from street protests to producing online resources, different initiatives happened. We reached over 100,000 posts made by real users in 4 months, getting more influence than bots. The hashtag #FreeArmenianHostages was used nearly 100,000 times engaging over 250,000 users and reaching millions.
Organizations supported the campaign
It was supported by prominent Armenian and international organizations and institutions globally. We built trust and cooperation with the Armenian Apostolic Church and integrated non-Armenian climate activism around the world.

How We Organized
Our movement operates as a network of interconnected nodes: a living, decentralized system where anyone can join, act, and contribute. A Nodal Core provides strategic direction, coordination, and resources. Around it, citizens, activists, and partner groups expand the message across countries and digital spaces. This model allows flexibility, speed, and inclusivity while maintaining strategic coherence and factual accuracy.
This model blends the strength of a global movement with the authenticity of local voices, turning coordination into collective power.
Join Our Campaign
The campaign continues, demanding the release of Armenian hostages and justice. Join us to build a world where human rights can’t be greenwashed. Together, we’re transforming informed awareness into coordinated global action.
