Based on the Samantha Power book “A Problem from Hell”: America and the Age of Genocide. The film tells the story of Raphael Lemkin, the man who coined the term “genocide” and lobbied to make it an international crime. It then turns to the later work of Ben Ferencz, a prosecutor during the Nuremberg trials, and ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo, as he investigates the Sudanese president for the genocide in Darfur
